Happypot.ch is a secure and fast platform for organizing collective fundraising. Whether it's for group gifts (birthday, farewell, retirement, wedding, etc.) or for charitable causes (supporting an association, helping someone in need, etc.), Happypot.ch simplifies the process by removing the need for the organizer to advance costs. In just a few clicks, you can create a Happy Pot, share it and receive contributions via credit card, Twint or bank transfer. Once the collection is complete, the funds can be easily withdrawn by the organizer.

How do you guarantee the safety of transactions on Happy Pot?

To guarantee the security of transactions on Happy Pot, we have implemented several protective measures:

Are there any conditions to be met to create a common Pot?

There are no special conditions for creating a Pot on Happy Pot. There is no minimum or maximum amount. However, we make sure that the Pot does not promote violence, racism or pornography, and that it respects the law.

Do I need to have an account to create a common Pot?

Yes, to create a Happy Pot, you need to create an account. This enables us to guarantee the security of the service and to meet legal requirements. It also enables us to contact you if we need to. Join our community in just a few clicks and start collecting today!

How do I create my Happy Pot account?

It's so easy! Go to the Happy Pot homepage and click on "My account". Follow the instructions to register. In just a few moments, your account will be activated and ready to use after validation of the activation e-mail.

How do I create my Happy Pot?

Click on the "Create my Pot"  button at the top right of any page on the website. Follow the steps to select the category, customize your common Pot, and create your account or log in. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. Start your collection in no time with Happy Pot!

In what currencies can I create a Pot?

Your Pot is created in Swiss francs (CHF). Payments by card can be made in other currencies and will be converted into CHF. Conversion fees may apply for bank transfers. Happy Pot makes collecting money easy, wherever you are.

What are the different ways of ending a Pot?

Choose the option that suits you best:

  • Target date: Set an end date for your Pot. Contributors can donate until this specific date. You can modify this date at any time to extend your fundraising. This allows you to plan the fundraising for events or projects with a fixed deadline.
  • The Pot never ends: Keep your Pot open indefinitely, ideal for ongoing or long-term collections. Happy Pot adapts to your needs! This choice is particularly suitable for continuous or long-term fundraising, offering maximum flexibility to receive donations at any time. You can request partial withdrawals of the collected funds at any time using your administration space, while keeping your Pot active.

Once you've created a Pot, how can I view it?

Select the menu "My account" at the top right, log in, then click on "My Pots". You'll see your dashboard with your common Pots. Simply click on one of them to access it.

How do I modify a Pot after it has been created?

To modify a Pot, log in to your account ("My account"  menu at the top right), click on "My Pot", select the Pot you wish to modify, then click on "Edit" in the administration banner at the bottom right. Make your changes and save. Happy Pot gives you total flexibility!

How can I share the Pot or invite my friends to participate in my fundraising?

On your Pot page, to the right of the illustration image, you'll find a "Share this Pot" block. Copy the link or share it via Whatsapp, e-mail, Facebook or LinkedIn. Make contributions easy with Happy Pot!

Which Pot to choose?

Choose the category closest to your objective when creating your Happy Pot. Categories do not affect confidentiality, which can be defined during personalization. Simplify your choice with Happy Pot!

How do I personalize my Happy Pot?

Add a photo, description and more when you create your common Pot. You can change these options at any time. A well-personalized Pot (photo + attractive description) often guarantees its success. Make your collection stand out with Happy Pot!

What are the privacy options for my Pot?

Protect your privacy with Happy Pot! When creating your Pot, choose from several privacy options:

  • Hide entry amounts: by activating this option, entry amounts will not be displayed on the Pot. Only the creator of the Pot will see the amounts.
  • Hide contributors' names: Each contributor's name will be hidden for even greater discretion (bearing in mind that individual contributors can also choose to hide their name, but the creator will always see it).
  • Keep your Pot private: By opting for a private Pot, it will not be displayed publicly or indexed by search engines, thus preserving the confidentiality of your Pot.
  • Specify beneficiary name: If you leave this option unchecked, no beneficiary name will be displayed on the Pot page.

What happens if the target amount is not reached?

The target amount is indicative. You can use the Pots collected, regardless of the amount reached. With Happy Pot, every contribution counts!

What happens if participants want to take part after the deadline for my common Pot has passed?

If an end date is set, it will no longer be possible to contribute after this date, unless you change the end date from your account. You can, however, create a new Pot. Happy Pot adapts to your needs!

Who has access to my common Pot?

If you don't select the "Keep Pot private" option, it will be visible to everyone and indexed by search engines. Happy Pot offers you flexible visibility options.

Who can see the participants in my Potluck?

Everyone can see the participants, unless contributors choose to remain anonymous or you have selected the "Hide participant names"  option. Happy Pot respects your privacy.

Who can see how much is in the Pot?

The amount raised and the target (if defined) are public. Share your success with Happy Pot!

When do I need to provide supporting documents?

For legal compliance reasons, we are obliged to verify your identity before transferring the collected funds. This process is automated through our identity verification partner. We do not store your identity data at any time. With Happy Pot, your security is our priority.

Once the fund is created, can it be cancelled? Can you refund each participant individually?

You can stop your Pot at any time as the creator through your account (at the bottom of the Pot page). Please note that our policy does not allow for individual refunds. However, you can request the full payout of the fund and download the list of participants to process individual refunds yourself. Both options are directly available in your account space. We can refund the entire fund upon the request of the fund's creator. Please note that the applicable commission (see pricing section) is deducted from the payout request to cover the platform's maintenance and associated banking fees. Happy Pot simplifies the management of your collections.

How can I get a complete (non-anonymized) list of all contributors to my Pot?

Log in to your account, click on "My Pots" , select the desired Pot, then click on "Download list of participants" in the administration banner. An Excel file containing the complete list of contributors will then be available for download. Happy Pot simplifies the management of your funds.

How do I participate in a Pot?

Access the Pot through its link, or find it in « Support a cause » if it's public. In the section « Make a donation », choose the amount of your contribution, fill in your personal information and privacy options, then select your payment method (bank transfer, credit card or Twint). Click on « Pay » and follow the instructions. You will receive a confirmation email once the payment is validated. Please note: in the case of a bank transfer, the payment is only validated once the money has been received in Happy Pot's bank account. Contribute easily with Happy Pot!

Do participants need to create an account?

Yes, creating an account is necessary to meet legal requirements. Join the Happy Pot community in just a few clicks!

How can I hide my name when I enter?

When making your payment, simply check the "Make my contribution anonymous to the public" option. Your anonymity is respected with Happy Pot.

What should I do if my contribution is not taken into account?

If your credit/debit card or Twint payment fails, the payment system will inform you. You can correct the error (insufficient limit, incorrect card details, etc.) or contact your bank. Payments by bank transfer may take 1 to 5 working days. If the amount has not been added to the Pot after this time, please contact us.

Will I receive a payment confirmation?

Yes, you will always receive a confirmation email after participating. If you don't receive it within an hour, check your spam folder or contact us.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Entries can be made by bank transfer, credit/debit card or Twint.

Why is the amount received on my Happy Pot different from the amount paid?

Amounts received by bank transfer may differ due to currency conversion fees or bank fees. The contributor is always notified of the difference by e-mail.

How does the verification of my bank card (3D Secure) work?

3D-Secure is a security measure that verifies that you are the owner of the card used for payment. Each bank has its own authentication method to guarantee the security of your transactions. If you have any specific questions, we recommend that you contact your bank directly for further details.

Is my payment secure?

Absolutely! We work with a global leader in online payments, who complies with all the security standards imposed by banks and card companies. Your payment details are completely secure, and Happy Pot never has access to your credit card information. Transact with confidence with Happy Pot.

Receive my Happy Pot

When can I withdraw money from my Pot?

You can request the transfer of your fund at any time. There is no time limit to retrieve your Pots. Take advantage of Happy Pot's flexibility!

Can I withdraw my fund even if the target or deadline is not met?

Yes, you are free to withdraw your Pot at any time, whether the target or deadline has been reached or not. With Happy Pot, you decide when to withdraw your funds!

How can I withdraw money from my Pot?

To request a payment of the balance (partial or full) of your Pot, follow these simple steps:

  • Log in to your account.
  • Click on "My Pots".
  • Select the desired Pot and click on "Request a payment".
  • Validate your identity by clicking on "Start verification" (this process only needs to be carried out once per account).
  • Complete your bank details.
  • Click on "Request a payment".

You will receive confirmation by e-mail and the payment will be processed within 1 to 5 working days, depending on your bank.

Can I request several bank transfers without closing the Pot?

Yes, at any time you can request partial or full payment of your Happy Pot balance without having to close the Pot.

Why did I receive an email informing me of a bank transfer contribution, but the amount does not appear in the Pot?

This is a pledge of a bank transfer, that the participant must then complete. We automatically validate bank transfers once they are received in our account and add them to your Pot. Please note that bank transfers can take between 1 and 5 working days. If you have any doubts, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Where can I find my BIC and IBAN numbers?

You can find your BIC and IBAN numbers on your bank statement, on your bank card or in your e-banking application. The BIC consists of 8 to 11 characters and the IBAN of 27 to 34 characters.

When will I receive my money transfer?

Once you have submitted your payment request, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail. Please allow 1 to 5 days for the Pots to be transferred to your bank account.

How do I log in to my account?

To log in to your Happy Pot account, click on the "My account" menu in the top right-hand corner of the website. Enter your e-mail address and password. If you've forgotten your password, click on "Forgotten password" and follow the instructions. For any difficulties, please contact us at contact@happypot.ch or via our contact form.

When do I need to provide supporting documents?

As part of the fight against fraud, money laundering and the financing of terrorism, we are legally required to verify your identity when you request the transfer of funds from your Pot to your account. This step enables you to validate your account definitively, so that you can take full advantage of our services with complete peace of mind.

How can I change my personal information?

Log in to your account, click on "Manage my profile"  in the "My account" menu in the top right-hand corner of the website, and make any necessary changes.

How can I delete my account?

To delete your account, simply log in, go to the "My account"  menu, then click on the "Manage my profile" link. In the bottom right-hand corner, select "Delete account" and follow the instructions.

I've forgotten my password

Simply click on the "My account"  icon in the top right-hand corner of the website, then on "Forgotten password" and follow the instructions to reset your password.

Pricing

Is Happy Pot a free service?

Happy Pot offers you the possibility of creating an account and a common Pot entirely free of charge! Participating in a Pot via bank transfer is also free of charge. For contributions via credit card or Twint, only the transaction fees charged by our payment service providers apply, with no additional charges on our part. A small commission is deducted at the end of the Pot-raising period to cover website maintenance and management costs, ensuring a high-quality service.
