Happy Pot was built on a simple idea: make collecting money from friends and family easy, transparent, and truly Swiss.
Our story
Honestly, starting a money pot platform was never the plan.
It all began with a very personal problem.
Living in Switzerland, we kept finding ourselves trying to organise group gifts for birthdays, weddings, colleague send-offs. We looked for an existing solution. Something Swiss, something simple. We didn't find one. The platforms out there were built for large-scale crowdfunding or charity fundraising, not for everyday collections between friends and colleagues.
So we built a small tool. Just for us, our friends, and family. Not to start a company, just to stop spending an entire day chasing people for a birthday gift.
Then something unexpected happened.
Without any advertising or marketing, people we'd never met started using Happy Pot. They'd create a collection, then come back a few weeks later for another one. That's when we realised we weren't alone in having this problem.
And we discovered something we hadn't anticipated: behind every collection, there's a story. Birthdays, weddings, retirement send-offs, but also moments of solidarity after an illness, a fire, an accident, or a loss.
People don't come to Happy Pot because they're looking for a payment platform. They come because they want to bring people together around something that matters.
Our job is simply to make that as easy as possible. Less admin. Fewer reminders. Less stress. And more time for what actually counts: the people.
Because at its core, Happy Pot was never built to collect money. It was built to bring people closer, in life's best moments and its hardest ones.
