How do withdrawals work?
You can request a transfer at any point once the pot is live. The money goes straight into whichever Swiss bank account you choose: yours, or the person the gift's for. It takes 1 to 5 working days. No hidden costs: our fees are laid out clearly on our pricing page.
How much should people put in a birthday money pot?
One of the questions we get asked most. It really depends on how many people are chipping in and what the gift is, but as a rough guide:
- Colleagues: 20–30 CHF each is fairly typical
- Close friends: 30–50 CHF, depending on the gift
- Family: anywhere from 50 CHF to several hundred, depending on what's being bought
You can suggest an amount right in the pot itself, it usually nudges the average contribution up a bit.
