Help Colombia Earthquake Survivors: Emergency Relief for Indigenous and Rural Communities
Colombia Earthquake Relief Fund: Help Indigenous and Rural Communities Recover
No Dejemos de Hablar de Colombia
GSF Colombia's volunteer-led response to the Colombia earthquake
When the earthquake struck Colombia, our first priority was the same as everyone else's. We made sure our families were safe, checked on our loved ones, and tried to understand the scale of what had happened.
Then, like so many Colombians, we acted.
Some of us joined local emergency response efforts. Others used our platforms and networks to collect donations, organize supplies, and connect people with urgent assistance.
Today, as international attention begins to fade, many communities are still facing enormous challenges. Recovery does not end when the headlines do.
That is why GSF Colombia has launched No Dejemos de Hablar de Colombia ("Let's Not Stop Talking About Colombia"), a volunteer-led initiative supporting two communities in Valle del Cauca that remain in urgent need of humanitarian assistance.
Our Goal
We have a simple, realistic mission:
Support 300 households in Yotoco with food, clean water solutions, and emergency shelter materials.
Fund fuel and river transportation for at least 10 boats carrying more than 50 tonnes of humanitarian aid to remote Wounaan Indigenous communities in Bajo San Juan.
Why These Communities?
Wounaan Indigenous Communities, Bajo San Juan
Many Wounaan communities can only be reached by river. Roads are limited or nonexistent, making humanitarian access slow and expensive.
Thanks to local partners, more than 50 tonnes of humanitarian aid have already been collected. What is urgently needed now is the funding to transport it.
Your donation will help cover the fuel and operating costs for at least 10 boats, ensuring food, water, hygiene supplies, and essential aid reach families who might otherwise remain isolated.
Yotoco, Valle del Cauca
In Yotoco, hundreds of families lost their homes and livelihoods.
Working alongside trusted local organizations, we are supporting 200 to 300 households with:
Food assistance
Safe drinking water solutions
Plastic sheeting and emergency shelter materials
Other essential supplies identified by the community
Our volunteer delegation will work directly with local partners to ensure assistance reaches the families who need it most.
Why Support This Campaign?
Choosing where to donate after a humanitarian disaster can feel overwhelming.
Large organizations play a vital role, but local initiatives often have something equally important: trusted relationships, deep community knowledge, and the ability to respond quickly to specific needs.
We are a small network of volunteers with longstanding ties to these communities. Rather than trying to do everything, we have chosen a focused and achievable goal where every contribution has a direct and measurable impact.
Your donation will help move humanitarian aid that is already waiting to be delivered and provide essential support to families rebuilding their lives.
Transparency
Everyone who donates will receive a detailed report showing:
How funds were allocated
What assistance was delivered
The communities reached
The impact your contribution made
We believe every donor deserves to know exactly how their generosity helped.
Help Us Keep Talking About Colombia
Disasters disappear from the news long before recovery is complete.
Together, we can make sure they are not forgotten.
Every donation helps bring food, clean water, emergency shelter, and hope to families rebuilding after the Colombia earthquake.
Thank you for standing with Colombia.
