Stein für Stein – ein Zentrum für neue Perspektiven durch Bildung in Uganda

Selina, eine junge Schweizerin, lebt und unterrichtet seit einigen Jahren in Uganda.

Gemeinsam mit ugandischen Freunden hat sie das Projekt Pearl Heart Ministries gegründet.

Pearl Heart Ministries setzt sich dafür ein, Kindern und Jugendlichen sowohl schulische Bildung als auch berufliche Ausbildung zu ermöglichen. In einem kleinen Dorf mit dem Namen Ntinkalu konnten sie Land kaufen. Nun möchte Pearl Heart Ministries dort verschiedene Gebäude errichten.

Ntinkalu liegt in der Nähe von Jinja, der viertgrössten Stadt in Uganda. Die Menschen dort leben überwiegend vom Fischfang, der Arbeit im Steinbruch oder auf den Zuckerrohrfeldern.

Das Hausbauprojekt in Uganda verfolgt das Ziel, einen nachhaltigen Ort für Bildung, Gemeinschaft und Wohnen zu schaffen, an dem christliche Jüngerschaft alltagsnah gelebt wird. Das Gelände ist so konzipiert, dass es mehrere Funktionen unter einem Dach vereint und langfristig einen positiven Beitrag zur sozialen Entwicklung leistet.

Das Projekt hat folgenden Umfang:

Einfache Wohnräume damit die Auszubildenden während der Ausbildung ein zu Hause haben

Mehrzweckraum für schulisches Coaching und Nachhilfe für die Kinder aus Ntinkalu und Umgebung, sowie für Workshops und Kinder- und Jugendarbeit (z.B. Bible Study, Spiele, Sport und Tanzen etc.)

Raum für praktisches Ausbildungsprogramm für verschiedene Berufe (Coiffeure, Schneiderin, usw.)

Büro für das Ministry

Wohnungen für Mitarbeiter, Besucher und Volontäre

Garten und Gehege für Tiere

Beim Bau werden lokale Materialien und Arbeitskräfte eingesetzt, um die regionale Wirtschaft zu stärken und nachhaltige Bauweisen zu unterstützen.

Geplant ist, dass im Herbst 2026, eine Gruppe von Freiwilligen aus der Schweiz vor Ort mitarbeiten.

Das Projekt möchte den Kindern und Jugendlichen die Möglichkeit geben mit schulischer Bildung und einer Berufsausbildung ihren Lebensunterhalt künftig selbst zu erwirtschaften.

Das Projekt wurde in Projektphasen mit zugehöriger Kostenschätzung aufgeteilt:

Einfache Wohnräume und Umzäunung -> 12‘000CHF

Mehrzweckraum, Ausbildungsraum, Büro -> 60‘000CHF

Infrastruktur (Strom, Wasser, Abwasser) > 15‘000CHF

Wohnungen oberhalb Mehrzweckraum -> 50‘000CHF

How do I create my Happy Pot?

Click on the "Create my Pot" button at the top right of any page on the website. Follow the steps to select the category, customize your Pot, and create your account or log in. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory. Start your collection in no time with Happy Pot!

How do you share the Pot or invite your friends to join in?

On your Pot page, to the right of the illustration image, you'll find a "Share this Pot" block. Copy the link or share it via Whatsapp, e-mail, Facebook or LinkedIn. Make contributions easier with Happy Pot!

What are the different ways of ending a Pot?

Choose the option that suits you best:

Target date: Set an end date for your fundraising. Contributors can make donations up to this specific date. You can change this date at any time to extend your collection. This allows you to plan fundraising for events or projects with a fixed deadline.
The Pot never ends: Keep your Pot open indefinitely, ideal for ongoing or long-term collections. Happy Pot adapts to your needs! This choice is particularly suitable for ongoing or long-term Pot raising, offering maximum flexibility for receiving donations at any time. You can request partial refunds of Pots collected at any time using your administration space, while keeping your Pot active.

Can I request several bank transfers without closing the Pot ?

Yes, at any time you can request partial or full payment of your Happy Pot balance without having to close the Pot.

How can I withdraw funds from my Pot?

To request payment of the balance (partial or full) of your Pot, follow these simple steps:

Log in to your account.
Click on "My Pots".
Select the desired Pot and click on "Request payment".
Validate your identity by clicking on "Start verification" (this process only needs to be carried out once per account).
Fill in your bank details.
Click on "Request payment" .
You will receive confirmation by e-mail and payment will be made within 1 to 5 working days, depending on your bank.
