Seit Jahren wird in Basel die Repressionsschraube hochgedreht. Auch friedliche Demonstrant:innen und Aktivist:innen werden von der Polizei mit Schikanen und Gewalt drangsaliert und von der Staatsanwaltschaft flächendeckend mit Strafbefehlen und Gerichtsklagen eingedeckt. Einer der unrühmlichen Höhepunkte dieser Kampagne war der 1. Mai 2023. Zur Erinnerung: ein riesiges Polizeiaufgebot überfiel die bewilligte Kundgebung, sieben Stunden wurden Dutzende von Menschen, auch Minderjährige, im Kessel festgehalten, ohne Zugang zu WC, Nahrung und Getränken, dafür grundlos mit Pfefferspray und Gummigeschossen traktiert. Die Einkesselung war von langer Hand vorbereitet und wurde von der Polizei plangemäss durchgezogen. Ausser, dass ein paar Einzelne vermummt waren, war es zu keinerlei Vergehen gekommen.

Dem brutalen Vorgehen der Polizei folgte eine Grossoffensive der Basler Staatsanwaltschaft, die in rund 70 Strafbefehlen gipfelte. Etwa ein Dutzend Menschen fochten die Strafbefehle an. Zu Recht, wie sich bald zeigte. Die Gerichte haben die Arbeit der Stawa richtiggehend zerzaust: Drei Verfahren endeten bisher mit Freisprüchen, in weiteren Fällen gab es Teilfreisprüche und/oder massive Strafreduktionen. Doch weitere Prozesse stehen an, und die Repressionswelle rollt weiter.

Der Stawa geht es offensichtlich darum, politisch aktive Menschen mit unhaltbaren Vorwürfen einzuschüchtern, zu kriminalisieren und so ihre Grundrechte einzuschränken. Das wollen wir nicht zulassen. Deshalb wehren wir uns vor Gericht und in der Öffentlichkeit.

Die Verfahren kosten jedoch viel Geld. Aus diesem Grund benötigen wir euren Support! Bitte helft mit im Kampf gegen Repression und Kriminalisierung. Hinter diesem Crowdfunding steht der Verein «Freie Kundgebungen» (FreiKu), ein Zusammenschluss von Betroffenen und verschiedenen Gruppierungen, die in Basel gegen Repression, Polizeiwillkür und Amtsmissbrauch kämpfen.

Choose the option that suits you best:
  1. Target date: Set an end date for your fundraising. Contributors can make donations up to this specific date. You can change this date at any time to extend your collection. This allows you to plan fundraising for events or projects with a fixed deadline.
  2. The Pot never ends: Keep your Pot open indefinitely, ideal for ongoing or long-term collections. Happy Pot adapts to your needs! This choice is particularly suitable for ongoing or long-term Pot raising, offering maximum flexibility for receiving donations at any time. You can request partial refunds of Pots collected at any time using your administration space, while keeping your Pot active.

Can I request several bank transfers without closing the Pot ?

Yes, at any time you can request partial or full payment of your Happy Pot balance without having to close the Pot.

How can I withdraw funds from my Pot?

To request payment of the balance (partial or full) of your Pot, follow these simple steps:
  1. Log in to your account.
  2. Click on "My Pots".
  3. Select the desired Pot and click on "Request payment".
  4. Validate your identity by clicking on "Start verification" (this process only needs to be carried out once per account).
  5. Fill in your bank details.
  6. Click on "Request payment" .
  7. You will receive confirmation by e-mail and payment will be made within 1 to 5 working days, depending on your bank.
