Set up your baby registry online
A new arrival on the way, and you want a gift that's actually useful? Happy Pot lets you set up a baby pot in a couple of clicks, share it with the people who matter, and start collecting straight away.
Why set up a baby registry through Happy Pot?
Between the soft toys nobody plays with, clothes that are outgrown in weeks, and baby gear that ends up gathering dust, finding a gift that's genuinely useful isn't always easy. A baby pot means new parents get a contribution they can spend on whatever they actually need: equipment, the nursery, or just the general cost of those first few months.
With Happy Pot, everyone gives what they want, from their phone, in seconds: family, friends, colleagues, whoever's contributing.
With Happy Pot you can:
- Set up your pot in 2 minutes: title, description, photo, done
- Write a wish list straight into the description: be specific if you'd like to point people towards what's actually needed
- Send the link over WhatsApp, email or text to everyone who wants in
- Take contributions by card or TWINT
- Withdraw whenever you want, without closing the pot
- Keep more of what's given: our fees are some of the lowest around
How does a Happy Pot baby registry work?
Set up the pot
Give it a title ("Welcoming baby"), add a photo and a quick description. Add a wish list if you'd like to, or just keep it simple.
Get people involved
Share the link by message or email with family, friends or colleagues. Everyone gives what they're comfortable with.
Collect and buy what's needed
Once the money's in, transfer it to your account or the parents' account, if you're setting this up on their behalf. You can withdraw more than once without closing the pot.
Everything you need to know
How do withdrawals work?
You can request a transfer at any point. The money goes into whichever account you choose: yours, or the parents'. It takes 1 to 5 business days.
No hidden costs: see our pricing page for the full breakdown.
How much should people contribute?
Depends on how close you are to the parents, but roughly:
- A colleague or acquaintance: 20–30 CHF is fairly standard
- A close friend: 30–60 CHF
- Close family: usually more generous, anywhere from 50 CHF to several hundred
You can suggest an amount right in the pot, which helps anyone who's not sure how much to give.
Gift ideas for a baby pot
Need inspiration? Here's what people often put towards a colleague's or friend's baby pot:
- A pram or car seat
- Furniture or decorating the nursery
- Cash, no strings attached — useful for covering the cost of those first few months
- A gift card for a baby store
- Something for the parents — a massage, a meal delivery, a bit of help around the house

Baby registry FAQs
Can I set this up before the baby's born?
Yes, set it up whenever you like during the pregnancy, so people can contribute early or get ready to as soon as the baby arrives.
How do I let people know what's actually needed?
Add a wish list to the description, it helps steer contributions towards what'll be most useful.
Can we do a separate registry for the christening or baby shower?
Yes, set up a completely separate one, either alongside the baby registry or entirely on its own.
Can people leave a message?
Yes, every contribution can come with a short note. Nice to look back on later!
Are there fees?
Happy Pot's fees are transparent. See our pricing page for the full breakdown.
