Hi everyone,
It is with some embarrassment that I dare to put this weight on my shoulders in writing in order to move forward after a difficult separation.
Today, I am moving forward with positivity, joy, and the love of my sons as a 41-year-old single mother.
I have been officially separated from my sons' father for about five months, but after nearly two years of separation
The atmosphere since he left home has been much more peaceful, cheerful and calm.
But life sometimes has surprises in store that are not necessarily positive.
At the end of March and mid-April 2025, our two cats 🐈⬛🐈 were hit by a car. They both have health insurance. But insurance companies don't always cover everything. I had to pay 20% of the total amount of the bills as well as their deductibles. All these costs and deductibles had to be paid while waiting for the insurance companies to cover them. But I had to reset my credit card (Visa).
My best friend and her husband helped me out with the first month's rent at the beginning of the separation.
I am a disabled mother and, with my monthly expenses, the small amount of child support and social assistance from my municipality, I unfortunately do not have enough to repay these two sums.
So today, it is my turn to ask for support to help me pay what needs to be paid and face the near future with more peace of mind for the three of us.
After many conversations and advice, I have opened this online fund.
I am a woman who gives her time, sometimes too much. But as people often remind me, think of yourself. People know you have a big heart and they won't love you any less because you and your children are your priority.
Above all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read this, for your understanding, for your donations (whatever they may be), for your words, your prayers and your various forms of support.
I wish you all a wonderful summer holiday in 2025.
Géraldine
Ps: Please don't judge me, I don't need it. I'm already very good at that myself.
1,000 Thanks 🙏🏼 ☺️
