Help Me Rebuild My Life and My Dream of Entrepreneurship
Life doesn’t always go as planned.
I am Saminda, a 53-year-old father from Sri Lanka, and once a proud government employee. But in 2012, due to a government decision, I lost my job — not because of any fault of mine, but due to circumstances beyond my control.
For years, I struggled to find stable work. Yet, I never gave up. With the support of my loving family, I finally started a small export business in 2023, sending agricultural products from Sri Lanka to Pakistan. It was my dream — a chance to stand on my own feet again.
At first, things went well. But then, one shipment I sent on 7th March 2024 was held by Pakistan Customs for reasons no one could control. It remained stuck for over 18 months, and eventually was auctioned — causing a terrible loss to both me and my buyer. That single incident shattered everything I had built with hope and hard work.
Now, my business is at a standstill. I have two beautiful twins whose education I must support, and my elderly parents, aged 87 and 83, who depend on me for their medicines and daily care. With no steady income, I’ve had to borrow money to survive, and today I am drowning in debt.
But I still believe in hope.
I still believe that with a little help, I can restart my business, rebuild what I lost, and create a better future for my children and parents.
Your support — no matter how small — can help me start again. It can help me buy the supplies, restart exports, and bring life back to my dream.
🙏 Please help me rebuild my life and restore my dignity.
Every contribution, every share, every kind word means the world to me and my family.
