About My Dream

Since 2023, I have been passionately working on developing an innovative multi-purpose robot and GPS-guided autonomous bus system designed to bring intelligent automation, smart mobility, and real-world robotics learning together.

This project started as a small experiment — a simple robot that could move using sensors. Over time, I have expanded it into something far more advanced: a dual-mode autonomous system that combines navigation, communication, and smart charging in one complete setup.

The Vision

My goal is to design a fully autonomous GPS-guided vehicle using the ESP32 microcontroller, GPS (NEO-6M), SIM800L module, and compass sensor, capable of guiding itself through waypoints with real-time data.
It also includes:

  • Mode 1 – Autonomous Mode:
The car/bus navigates using GPS waypoints, avoiding obstacles automatically using smart sensors and a buzzer horn warning system. Waypoints can be entered easily through a Wi-Fi web server interface, featuring animated visual controls and a display of routes and coordinates.

  • Mode 2 – Manual Mode:
The vehicle can be controlled remotely through another ESP32 MagicBit joystick transmitter. It even includes auto-docking and charging functions, where the robot uses IR sensors to locate its charging base and connect automatically when commanded.

All of this is built entirely from scratch — coding, electronics, and design.

My Challenge

I am working hard with the tools I have, but resources and electronic components are very expensive in Sri Lanka. Since 2023, I have been funding this project by myself, but now I’ve reached a point where I need help to continue.

Essential components like ESP32 boards, GPS modules, compass sensors, motor drivers, and batteries are very costly and hard to find locally. Without proper support, I cannot complete the prototype or test the full system.

Why This Project Matters

This isn’t just a personal project — it’s a step toward future robotics education and innovation in Sri Lanka. My goal is to inspire other young creators to explore AI, IoT, and autonomous technology using low-cost hardware.

Your support will help me:

  • Purchase the remaining hardware components,

  • Improve the software for stability and real-time control,

  • Build the final prototype and test it in real-world conditions,

  • Create educational documentation to share knowledge with others.

How You Can Help ❤️

Every small contribution makes a big difference. Your donation will directly fund the development, testing, and completion of this project.

If you can’t donate, please share my project to help it reach people who can support this dream.

Together, we can turn a small vision from Sri Lanka into something that can inspire future engineers and inventors around the world.
