Support a Brave Young Woman Bringing Education to Her Village
In the heart of Papase Dunkwa, a small rural village nestled in Ghana, a young woman named Mathilda has taken on an extraordinary mission — to teach children who have no access to formal education.
Most of the children in her village do not attend school, either because their families cannot afford the cost or because the nearest school is over 5 kilometers away — too far for small feet to walk daily.
Mathilda, driven by compassion and a deep belief in the power of education, has been teaching these children under trees and makeshift shelters, using whatever materials she can gather. Her classroom may be humble, but her commitment is unwavering.
Now, she needs our help.
Now, she needs our help.
The Goal: Build a Simple, Safe Classroom
Mathilda is raising funds to construct a basic one-classroom structure — a safe space with a roof, walls, and desks, where the children can learn without distraction from the weather or dust.
This classroom will:
Provide over 30 children a place to learn every day
Protect them from the rain and sun
Allow for better teaching tools and materials
Offer hope and dignity to a forgotten corner of the world
What Your Donation Will Support
Your contribution will go toward:
Bricks, roofing sheets, and cement
Wooden doors and windows
A blackboard and simple desks/chairs
Labor from local builders
We estimate the total cost to be $3,500 USD, which will fully fund the structure and basic learning needs.
Why This Matters
Every child deserves a chance at education. For the children of Papase Dunkwa, this classroom could change everything — giving them not just reading and writing skills, but hope, confidence, and a brighter future.
By supporting this campaign, you are helping more than just a building. You're standing with Mathilda — a courageous young teacher who refused to wait for change and instead became the change.
