Our roof is broken and rainwater floods our home.Please help me give my two daughters a safe place to live again.
I am a single mother of two young daughters, both studying in middle school and we urgently need help to have a safe place to live.
After my husband passed away from kidney failure, life became extremely difficult. Our small house was only halfway built and the recent heavy rains and strong winds completely damaged the roof. Large gaps now let rain pour in, soaking the bare brick walls and making it impossible to live safely. There is no proper place to cook, sleep or for my daughters to study. Each night, I worry that more of the roof might collapse or that another storm will destroy what little we have.
We have no stable income and struggle daily just to afford food. Completing our house feels impossible, and after my husband’s death, our relatives and neighbors turned away because of our poverty. Now we are alone, trying to survive in a home that could collapse at any time.
I am asking for your help to fix our broken roof and complete our home so my daughters can live and study safely. Even a small contribution can make a huge difference, giving us shelter, security and hope. Your generosity will help us rebuild not just a house, but a safe place for two little girls to grow and dream.
Note: Our fundraising goal is shown in Swiss Francs (CHF) to match the Happy Pot platform, but all funds will be used locally in Sri Lanka for our home repairs.

How can I withdraw funds from my Pot?

- Click on "My Pots".
- Select the desired Pot and click on "Request payment".
- Validate your identity by clicking on "Start verification" (this process only needs to be carried out once per account).
- Fill in your bank details.
- Click on "Request payment" .
- You will receive confirmation by e-mail and payment will be made within 1 to 5 working days, depending on your bank.
