Dear kind-hearted friends,
My name is Sajeeva Kalpitha Christombu, from Sri Lanka. I am a husband, a father of two beautiful daughters (ages 17 and 3), and a son to my elderly mother.
Today I am writing with tears in my eyes because my family has no safe home. We move from place to place, depending on others’ kindness. Each time, we face scolding, insults, and are eventually asked to leave. My little girls ask me, “Papa, when will we have our own home?” I have no answer, and it breaks my heart as a father.
I am very sick after surviving a liver infection and pneumonia. I am weak and depend on inhalers daily. My wife has no job — she makes paper bags from old newspapers, selling them for a few coins just to feed our daughters.
My little girl also suffers from melena, and we must take her to the hospital clinic every month for treatment and medicine. My elderly mother too is very weak and needs care.
💔 We live in a small mud house, unsafe during rain and storms. The roof leaks, and the walls crumble. Many nights, we cannot sleep because we have to protect our children from the cold and rain.
🙏 Our dream is simple: a small piece of land and a safe house where we can live together under one roof — in peace and dignity.
The total cost to make this dream come true is about USD 20,000 (≈ 6 million Sri Lankan Rupees). For us, this is impossible without your help. But with your kindness, we can rebuild our lives.
If your heart feels touched, please help us by donating any amount you can. Even the smallest gift brings hope.
You can also share this page with your friends — that alone helps more than you can imagine.
