ENGLISH VERSION

Dear Friends,
My name is Rachel and I'm starting this HappyPot page to get help treating my Chronic Lyme Disease. I am a single mother of three children: a 17-year-old, a 15-year-old and a 9-year-old. I work part-time as a secretary and am also a professional pet-sitter.

Since 2023, I have been plagued by periodic flare-ups that worsen each time.
Here are my main symptoms:
• Bouts of crippling fatigue and weakness, making the simplest daily tasks overwhelming
• Intense muscle pains, fevers/flushing, insomnia
• Burning sensation on the skin
• Mysterious rashes, severe headaches with blurry vision and light sensitivity
• Many other distressing symptoms including numbness in hands, legs, and arms

Fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, and many other issues were suspected by increasingly baffled healthcare providers. Many days I could barely get up, let alone go to work.
Finally, in January 2025, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease after two long years of suffering without knowing what was wrong with me.

Currently, I am treated with antibiotics and herbal remedies. This chronic illness is not well supported here in Switzerland, so I’ve had to pay for all treatments myself, exhausting all my savings. As my disease has progressed, I would like to seek treatment at Saint George Hospital in Bad Aibling, a facility known for its specialized Lyme center.

Unfortunately, since I’ve been unable to work since 2023, I cannot afford this lifesaving treatment, which costs €30,000. I also have no family who can help me financially.

A dear friend of mine encouraged me to use HappyPot to seek help. I look forward to healing thanks to your generous support. Despite being unable to work, I raise awareness about Lyme disease on social media to help others—supporting them is healing for me, too.

Saint George Hospital has an 80% success rate. I desperately want to get better, work again, regain my independence, and live free from constant suffering.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings me one step closer to the care I urgently need. If you can’t donate, sharing my story would already mean the world to me.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and generosity.

VERSION FRANÇAISE

Chers amis,

Rachel
