FAQ

A series of unfortunate events has led to the untimely closing of our school.

After forty-five years, our school based on the Waldorf/Rudolf Steiner pedagogy, had to shut its doors, leaving our class without a school to attend for the 2025/2026 scholastic year; thus depriving us the possibility to complete our final year of high school at a place we deeply cherished over the years.

The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB) for university is a 2 year high school program before entering university. Being a specially certified program, every school we contacted in Switzerland and Europe was not able to take our class without forcing us to re-do the first year, a year we have just completed in June. Except one.

Finally, an International school in Lugano, that is opening its first IB classes in September, has agreed to migrate our class into their brand new IB program, allowing us to complete our second and final year of high school inside this programme.

Unfortunately, four families in our class of ten, due to no fault of their own (who would have otherwise been able to afford these same classes at the now closed school), lack the sufficient funds to gap the differences in tuition to be able to now afford their child's final year before university, their future.

Even though this new school has agreed to give a discount, our class families simply do not have the means to pay these fees without assistance. Therefore we have created this pot to raise the necessary financial support to allow them to complete this final crucial year.

In summary, I have created this page for my classmates. We have been together for many many years, and it is my sincerest wish that we are able to stay together this final year of our education journey before entering university, and going out into the big world. Any money raised here helps to ensure this class's future together in this final year.

The 35,000 I am trying to raise would be divided amongst 4 of my classmates families.

We are committed to completing our final year and would be beyond grateful for this opportunity. If we are successful in raising this pot through your generosity, we can't wait to show you all progress of our year and give regular updates and news. Each of us wants to blossom into constructive, well-educated, kind and productive human beings, this pot raised will be the spark that relights that path for us giving us hope for the future.

Thank you, kindly.

P.S In the photo are the four families who would be needing assistance and myself, and our Class Teacher
