First cat shelter in Bosnia and Herzegovina

My name is Diana Maricic, and for many years I have dedicated my life to rescuing abandoned, abused, and hungry animals from the streets.

Today, 80 rescued cats—and sometimes other animals in urgent need—depend entirely on me for food, shelter, medical care, and love.

My small home is now completely full. There is simply no more space.

Yet every single day, I receive calls about more animals who are injured, starving, or left to die. Having to say it breaks my heart.

My dream is to purchase a countryside property with a large yard—a place where rescued cats can finally run, play, and live safely and freely. A place where I can welcome even more animals in need: the injured, the abandoned, the forgotten.

This would become the first dedicated cat shelter in Bosnia and Herzegovina—a true safe haven offering warmth, safety, medical care, and love to animals who have known only suffering.

With €100,000, I can purchase the property and begin building this sanctuary.
