Launching “That’s Classy” — Empowering Women through Classic Audiobooks

The Vision:

Imagine a world where young women reach for Plato or Simone de Beauvoir as easily as they reach for a favorite song — where the voices shaping their daily thoughts are those of history’s greatest minds. I’m launching an audiobook series to make classic philosophy not only accessible, but irresistible.

The Mission & Why It Matters

Many of the world’s most transformative ideas are locked away in dense texts that can feel intimidating, especially for first-time readers. I myself didn’t reach for philosophy until my ex — annoyingly — quoted Nietzsche during our breakup.

My mission is to break those barriers, bringing philosophy out of the lecture hall and into everyday life. With a refined, magnetic narration style, each audiobook will be crafted to draw the listener in, turning complex works into experiences you want to return to — on a walk, in a café, or winding down at night.

By focusing on young women, I want to encourage a new generation to enter the philosophical conversation with confidence and curiosity.

Why I Need Your Patronage

I work lean: my production tools cost little. What this project truly needs is time — the freedom to produce and release audiobooks consistently over the next year without sidelining the work for other income.

Your support will cover:

• Audio hosting ($240/year)

• Canva Pro for visual design ($120/year)

• Occasional production resources (music, effects, small gear upgrades – $200/year)

• A modest creative stipend to allow regular releases ($400/month → $4,800/year)

• Basic promotion to reach more listeners and reading groups ($600/year)

Total: $6,000 (approx. 5280 CHF) for one year of sustained, high-quality creation.
