​In a remote village in Sri Lanka, my family and I have spent our lives working the land. We are humble farmers who have always believed in the dignity of hard work. For years, our only dream has been to build a safe and permanent home for our family-a sanctuary where we can live without fear of the elements.

​We started this journey with hope, pouring every cent of our savings into the foundation and walls. However, with the unprecedented economic crisis in Sri Lanka and the skyrocketing costs of building materials, our construction has come to a complete standstill.

​Today, we stand before a half-finished house that we cannot afford to complete. To finish the remaining construction—roofing, flooring, and basic safety—we urgently need $6,500 USD.
