It’s with a heavy heart that I share the story of a remarkable individual, Pat, who sadly passed on March 1st. Pat's love for his pets, BJ, Josie, and Tessie, was truly exceptional. When he was diagnosed with cancer, he showed incredible strength and resilience, always keeping a good attitude and that trademark smile of his. When the side effects of his treatments became too much, he told me he was stopping the treatments. Saying “he would rather have a good 5 years than a bad 10.” That’s when he asked me to make sure they go to a loving home, and promise to keep them together. His selflessness and love for his fur babies was always on full display. About year ago Pat started a new trial for cancer. Although the trial seemed promising and everything was going well until suddenly it wasn’t and Pat’s heart gave out. No pet was sitter ever said “I do this for the money.” The thought of having to ask for donations is hard for me to accept, but truthfully I'm struggling to make ends meet as things are now. I’m fully devoted to providing them with the same care that Pat always entrusted me with. Anyone who knows me knows that it’s not in me to turn them away or compromise on their well-being. All donations will directly help me honor my promise to Pat. I sincerely thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering a donation to help these fur babies while I search for their new home.
