M.B.M Fayas (Age 32), am a member of the Ambe Jumma Mosque Jamaath. I am currently suffering from chronic kidney disease and have been undergoing dialysis treatment for the past one year.

Initially, I planned to undergo the kidney transplant surgery at a government hospital. I spoke with several potential kidney donors, but unfortunately, they were not willing to proceed with the transplant at a government hospital because the surgery process there usually takes seven to eight months to complete.

Previously, I was receiving dialysis through the veins in my hands. However, due to complications, it became impossible to continue the treatment that way. At present, dialysis is being done through a line inserted through a catheter. Because of this condition, doctors have informed me that fluid has accumulated around my heart, which has become a serious concern.

According to the doctors, the only immediate solution is an urgent kidney transplant surgery.

Based on the recommendation of Consultant Specialist Dr. Anupama De Silva at Navalogoka Hospital, I have been advised to undergo the kidney transplant surgery as soon as possible.

The estimated expenses are as follows:

Hospital charges: LKR 4.2 million (42 Lakhs)

Kidney donor expenses: LKR 2.5 million (25 Lakhs)

Medicines and medical tests: LKR 0.8 million (8 Lakhs)

The total cost is approximately LKR 7.5 million (75 Lakhs).

I have a wife and a 4-year-old daughter, and I am the main breadwinner of my family. Due to my illness, my family is currently going through a very difficult situation. Thinking about the future of my little daughter, I humbly seek your kind support.

As our family’s financial condition is very poor, we are unable to afford such a large amount for the surgery. Therefore, I kindly request you to please help save my life by contributing whatever financial assistance you can. Even your small contribution will be a great support for me.
