Help to build new house

Every rainy season, water leaks through the broken roof of our small house. We place buckets on the floor and wait through the night, listening to the steady drops fall—drop by drop—like time slowly wearing us down.

This house was built many years ago, when hope was stronger than money. Now, the walls are cracked, the wood is rotting, and the foundation sinks a little more each year. We try to repair it, but repairs no longer help. The house is tired, just like us.

At night, we worry. What will happen if the roof collapses? What if the walls fall while we are asleep? Children should dream peacefully, but instead they ask, “Will our house still be here tomorrow?”

We don’t want a big or fancy home. We only want a safe place—walls that can protect us from the rain, a roof that won’t fall, and a door that gives us dignity instead of fear.

Building a new house feels like an impossible dream. We work hard, but what we earn is only enough to survive, never enough to rebuild. Still, we hold on to hope, because hope is all we have left.
