Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing this letter with deep humility to request your kind support to help me build a safe and secure home for my family.

My name is Sinnaraj Kalaivanan, 45 years old, married, and a father of three small children — a 9-year-old daughter, a 3-year-old son, and a 5-month-old baby girl. Their safety and well-being are my biggest concerns.

I am working as a waiter at West Bohemian Nest Restaurant, earning LKR 50,000 per month. This income is not enough to cover all our basic needs, and I travel 10 km to work every day by bicycle because I cannot afford a motorcycle.

Our situation is becoming dangerous.

My house is extremely small with only one room, and it is not built with strong materials. There are no proper walls, only temporary coverings. During the recent heavy rains, floodwater entered our house, damaging our belongings and frightening my children.

Our house is also surrounded by thick jungle, and we face daily threats from wild animals and poisonous snakes. Just a few days ago, a cobra entered our home, putting my family in great danger.

Because the walls are not strong, we are also afraid of thieves, especially at night. I cannot protect my wife and children properly in the current condition.

I am kindly requesting your help to build my house with blocks.

If I can cover and strengthen my house using block walls, it will protect my family from:

• Floodwater

• Wild animals and snakes

• Thieves and intruders

• Rain, wind, and harsh weather

I have attached photos and videos to show the real condition of my home. I am not asking for luxury—only for safety and a basic, secure place for my children to sleep.
