Help a Sri Lankan Farmer Build His Dream Orchard and Support His Family

Hello kind donors,

My name is K.P. Dilum Udayanga Bandu, a small-scale farmer from Anamaduwa, Sri Lanka. I am a hardworking father trying to build a better future for my family through sustainable farming.

I currently cultivate 3 acres of land where I grow grafted wood apple (baddha delum), grafted guava (apple variety), and Cavendish bananas. My dream is to expand this project into a successful orchard that provides income for my family and creates job opportunities for others in my village.

However, my biggest challenge right now is a lack of proper irrigation facilities. I have already laid down two water pipelines, but I urgently need two water pumps (motors) to provide enough water for the plants, especially during the dry season.

The estimated total cost of this project, including plant maintenance, irrigation equipment, and fertilizer, is about LKR 2,000,000 (approximately USD 6,000).
