Ephraim: Hoffnung nach der Tragödie von Crans Montana

Mein Name ist Paul Aegerter. Ich begleite die Familie von Ephraim, einem der Opfer der Tragödie von Crans-Montana vom 1. Januar 2026.

Ich bin die Vertrauensperson der gesamten Familie hier in Zürich. Seit dem Unfall unterstütze ich sie täglich bei administrativen Aufgaben, Übersetzungen, Kontakten mit Spitälern und Behörden sowie bei der Organisation des neuen Alltags.

Ephraim ist 18 Jahre alt. Im August 2025 feierte er noch voller Stolz und Lebensfreude seinen Geburtstag – mit Freunden, Sonne und grossen Träumen.

Heute ist alles anders. Von 12 seiner engsten Freunde:

• 9 sind in der Tragödie am 01.01.2026 ums Leben gekommen

• 3 kämpfen noch immer um ihr Leben

Ephraim selbst ist zu 60–70 % schwer verbrannt und liegt aktuell im Koma im Universitätsspital Zürich.

Seit dem Unfall musste die achtköpfige Familie ihr gesamtes Leben neu organisieren – in einer fremden Stadt, fern von Zuhause (Lutry VD).

Die Eltern sprechen leider kein Deutsch, sondern Französisch, und stehen vor enormen emotionalen, organisatorischen und finanziellen Herausforderungen.

Wenn Ephraim aufwachen wird, beginnt für ihn ein völlig neues Leben.

Er wird nicht nur mit schweren körperlichen und seelischen Verletzungen leben müssen – sondern auch mit dem Verlust seiner besten Freunde.

Diese Tragödie wird ihn ein Leben lang begleiten.

Damit sie an Ephraims Seite bleiben kann und sich auf seine Genesung konzentrieren kann – nicht auf Existenzängste.

💰 Wofür werden die Spenden verwendet?

Die gesammelten Spenden werden ausschliesslich für finanzielle Unterstützung der Familie eingesetzt, insbesondere für:

• Lebenshaltungskosten und Unterkunft in Zürich

• Betreuung und Begleitung während der Spitalzeit

• Administration und notwendige Organisation (Transportkosten z.B.)

• Rechtsanwaltskosten im Zusammenhang mit rechtlichen Schritten (Klage)

• unvorhersehbare Ausgaben in einer langfristigen Ausnahmesituation

Je m’appelle Paul Aegerter. J’accompagne la famille d’Ephraim, l’une des victimes de la tragédie de Crans-Montana du 1er janvier 2026.

Je suis la personne de confiance de toute la famille ici à Zurich. Depuis l’accident, je les soutiens quotidiennement dans les démarches administratives, les traductions, les contacts avec les hôpitaux et les autorités, ainsi que dans l’organisation de leur nouvelle vie.

Ephraim a 18 ans. En août 2025, il fêtait encore son anniversaire, plein de fierté et de joie de vivre – entouré d’amis, de soleil et de grands rêves.

Aujourd’hui, tout est différent. Parmi ses 12 amis les plus proches :

• 9 ont perdu la vie lors de la tragédie du 01.01.2026

• 3 luttent encore pour leur survie

Ephraim lui-même est brûlé à 60–70 % et se trouve actuellement dans le coma à l’Hôpital universitaire de Zurich.

Depuis l’accident, sa famille de huit personnes a dû réorganiser toute sa vie – dans une ville inconnue, loin de son domicile (Lutry, VD).

Les parents ne parlent malheureusement pas allemand, mais français, et font face à d’immenses défis émotionnels, organisationnels et financiers.

Lorsque Ephraim se réveillera, une toute nouvelle vie commencera pour lui.

Il devra non seulement vivre avec de lourdes séquelles physiques et psychologiques, mais aussi avec la perte de ses meilleurs amis.

Cette tragédie l’accompagnera toute sa vie.

👉 C’est pourquoi la famille a aujourd’hui urgemment besoin d’un soutien financier.

Afin de pouvoir rester aux côtés d’Ephraim et se concentrer sur sa guérison – et non sur des soucis existentiels.

💰 À quoi serviront les dons ?

Les dons récoltés seront utilisés exclusivement pour soutenir financièrement la famille, notamment pour :

• Les frais de subsistance et de logement à Zurich

• L’accompagnement et la présence durant l’hospitalisation

• Les démarches administratives et l’organisation nécessaire (p. ex. frais de transport)

• Les frais d’avocat liés aux démarches juridiques (plainte)

• Les dépenses imprévues dans une situation exceptionnelle de longue durée

My name is Paul Aegerter. I am supporting the family of Ephraim, one of the victims of the Crans-Montana tragedy of January 1, 2026.

I am the trusted contact person for the entire family here in Zurich. Since the accident, I have been assisting them daily with administrative matters, translations, communication with hospitals and authorities, and the organisation of their new daily life.

Ephraim is 18 years old. In August 2025, he was still celebrating his birthday with pride and joy – surrounded by friends, sunshine, and big dreams.

Today, everything has changed. Out of his 12 closest friends:

• 9 lost their lives in the tragedy on 01.01.2026

• 3 are still fighting for their lives

Ephraim himself suffered severe burns over 60–70% of his body and is currently in a coma at Zurich University Hospital.

Since the accident, his family of eight has had to completely reorganise their lives – in an unfamiliar city, far away from their home (Lutry, VD).

The parents unfortunately do not speak German, only French, and are facing enormous emotional, organisational, and financial challenges.

When Ephraim wakes up, an entirely new life will begin for him.

He will not only have to live with severe physical and psychological injuries, but also with the loss of his closest friends.

This tragedy will accompany him for the rest of his life.

👉 This is why the family urgently needs financial support now.

So they can remain by Ephraim’s side and focus on his recovery – not on existential worries.

All donations will be used exclusively to support the family financially, in particular for:

• Living expenses and accommodation in Zurich

• Care and support during the hospital stay

• Administrative tasks and necessary organisation (e.g. transportation costs)

• Legal fees related to legal proceedings (lawsuit)

• Unforeseen expenses in a long-term exceptional situation
