🌱 Changing the World Begins Here — with the Children of “La Colline”
If we truly want to change the world,
we must begin with what is most precious: the children.

Not through words alone, but by offering them a living place,
a space where they can learn, breathe, understand, and dream.
That is the spirit of La Colline.

 💚 A project for growing differently
“La Colline” is more than a glamping project.
It is a vision, a refuge, a seed of the future.
On the gentle hills of Saint-Frajou, on 18 hectares of forests and meadows, we are creating a place where nature, education, and solidarity come together.

A place for everyone — families, travelers, and locals —
but above all, for those whom life has not always treated kindly:
the children entrusted to Child Protective Services (ASE).

These children have known fear, instability, and loss.
Here, they will find nature as a teacher, kindness as a guide, and trust as a new beginning.

 🌾 Why “La Colline” matters
Because you can’t learn about life between four walls.
Because a child who plants a seed learns patience.
Because a child who walks in the forest learns respect.
Because a child who shares a meal from the garden learns gratitude and care.

“La Colline” is an open-air classroom, a place of simplicity and meaning.
Here, we cultivate not only vegetables, but also hope, responsibility, and kindness.

 🌍 Small beginnings, big changes
We believe that lasting change starts locally.
Before saving the planet, we must learn to love what surrounds us.
Before talking about global solidarity, we must create it in our own backyard.

At La Colline, every day is a life lesson:

Children from the ASE rediscover nature and autonomy.
Families supported by the CAF find peace and reconnection.
Visitors experience a more human, conscious, and authentic kind of tourism.
It’s here, on this hillside, that we plant the seeds of a better world.

 🌿 Our mission
We are Martijn and Bintou Meijer, family care assistants for over ten years.
Our calling has always been to protect, guide, and help children grow.
Now, we want to transform that calling into something tangible — a living place that blends social care, ecology, and hospitality.

“La Colline” unites everything we believe in:

human connection,
nature,
solidarity,
and the joy of passing things on.
This is our way of acting — and believing — in a more human world.
